The Conference will be held on the campus of St. Lawrence University in the village of Canton NY (population 6,400) from July 28 to August 1.

Canton is the county seat for St. Lawrence County and is located in the northernmost tier of the NY state. One-third of the county's border is the St. Lawrence River which separates this part of NY with Ontario, Canada. To give some examples of its location, the driving time to Canton is approximately:

1.5 hours southeast from Ottawa, the capital of Canada
2.5 hours north of Syracuse NY
3 hours west of Burlington VT
4 hours north of Albany NY(driving through the Adirondacks)
5 hours northeast of Toronto, Canada
7 hours north of New York City

BY CAR:

• Use the online Map Quest <www.mapquest.com> or similar service to get directions from your house to Canton
• We recommend that you take a New York State map with you. If you are an AAA member, you can request one for free. If you are driving from Canada, we suggest you take maps with you that cover Ontario and Quebec.

BY PLANE:

SYRACUSE HANCOCK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, NY - 2 1/2 hours south of Canton (see www.syrairport.org)
• Two buses service Syracuse Airport to Canton (see box below). We will meet you at the Canton bus stop.
