We have had questions regarding our Poll regarding ceasing to introduce Fluoride into the Water System, and would it reduce the cost of the Water Bill, no it will not. It may however prevent an increase. Fluoride itself is not costly however, the machinery for the introduction of the fluoride is. That machinery requires maintenance and is nearing the end of its serviceable life. By eliminating fluoride, we would therefore not have to replace or repair the machinery at cost to the Water Department.
