The John Goldsmith Award is for sustained and outstanding contributions to the knowledge and practice of environmental epidemiology. This annual award was established to honor John Goldsmith, one of the organizers, early leaders, and constant supporters of the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE), who passed away in October 1999. ISEE has chosen Dr. Philippe Grandjean, MD, DMSc, as the recipient of the 2016 John Goldsmith Award. During the Plenary Session on the evening of Thursday, September 1, Dr. Grandjean delivered the Goldsmith Award Lecture: “Environmental epidemiology – lost in translation?” See http://www.isee2016roma.org/conference-videos/philippe-grandjean-plenary/

[Note from FAN: we plan to do a translation of parts of Dr Grandjean’s presentation. We will include here.]
