Templeton votes for fluoridation — again

TEMPLETON — The town’s water will remain fluoridated, there will be no audit of the construction of the town’s wind turbine, and after four evenings, the town’s annual town meeting is done.

Voters Monday night rejected three articles brought by citizens petition to regulate fluoride in the town’s drinking water system. For the third year in a row, voters overwhelmingly rejected a proposal to stop fluoridating the town’s drinking water. They also rejected an article which would have required a notice be placed in water bills warning that the water is fluoridated and could cause dental fluorosis in children under age 6, as well as a proposal to create a town bylaw requiring town meeting approval of fluoridating the town’s water supply…
