CAS No. 15096-52-3
US Maximum Residue Levels in Food Commodities

Return to Index Page

ACTIVITY: Insecticide (Fluorine, Inorganic)
Structure:

A February 13, 2005, check at the Code of Federal Regulations for Cryolite: this insecticide is permitted in or on 32 food commodities from the use of the fluorine compounds cryolite and synthetic cryolite (sodium aluminum fluoride) in the United States.

Note: Cryolite is included in the category: "Fluorine compounds". Also included is the fumigant Sulfuryl fluoride with 46 food tolerances. With its approval of the first-time use of sulfuryl fluoride as a fumigant on food in January 2004, US EPA permitted the highest levels of inorganic fluoride in food commodities in its history. Formal objections were submitted March 23, 2004, to EPA on these tolerances.

The following list identifies the food commodities for which EPA has set pesticide tolerances.
