For nearly twenty years the Fluoride Action Network website has been the go-to resource to stay ahead of the curve on fluoride science, news, and views. Fluoride organizers, advocates, and researchers have come to rely on the FAN website for cutting edge analysis of fluoride research, fluoride-related media content, advocate tools, and daily fluoride updates.

The FAN website is BIG with over 3,500 published studies on fluoride and over 16,000 archived fluoride news stories. It’s everything fluoride, all the time. And that takes a lot of care and maintenance.

It’s also our most effective tool to communicate with you. In an age where narratives concerning health and science are increasingly controlled, an easily accessible and informative website can be the most potent tool to avoid algorithmic censorship.

We’re proud to announce that FAN is in the end phases of an ambitious project to update our most precious asset – the FAN website. With a focus on upgraded web technology and security, here are important changes you can expect to see from a FAN website rebuild.

A better user experience on smartphones and tablets.

Right now the FAN website doesn’t scale well on smartphones and tablets so the viewing experience on mobile platforms leaves something to be desired. With a new dynamic website, the user experience on smartphones and tablets will be greatly improved.

A better search function.

A new built-in native search engine will allow you to find what you’re looking for on the FAN website much more efficiently, without having to rely on Google Search.

Improved layout and menus.

There is A LOT of information on the FAN website. Sometimes it can be daunting to find what you’re looking for. An improved layout and navigation bar will make it much easier to find what you need with as little clicks as possible.

Up-to date security.

The new FAN website will incorporate the newest advancements in web security for a secure viewing experience and will be fully compliant with global web security protocols. This is a big and exciting project that we’re putting a ton of effort into. We appreciate your support in helping us to see this through.

Thank you,
