I had originally planned to publish a bulletin today on a brand new study that puts the side effects from fluoridation into a different perspective, one that maybe some government officials will be more receptive to, but it will have to wait until tomorrow. This is because I received an email from a long-time donor and community organizer in Vermont who offered to help kick our fundraiser into overdrive with a “sweet deal.” It reminded me of how Paul Connett used to say that we occasionally need to put the “fun” into our fundraiser.
Over the past 24 hours, we’ve raised $1,745 from 23 supporters. This was doubled thanks to a $5,000 doubling challenge initiated this past Sunday. Our new total is $19,915 from 179 supporters towards our goal of raising $140,000 from 700 donors by midnight on January 31st to fund our budget and to maintain staff in 2025.
DONATIONS ARE STILL DOUBLED – There’s still $505 remaining from Sunday’s doubling challenge. This means your donation will continue to have double the impact for our efforts in 2025.
LIMITED OFFER: Jack Crowther has a fun new offer for 40 donors! In an effort to get our fundraising numbers moving faster than sap from maple trees in spring, he is offering:
- The first 30 people who donate $150 or more from this moment on a pint of pure Vermont maple syrup.
- Anyone who has already donated $150 or more, or does so after the first 30 pints have been claimed up until the end of the fundraiser, will be entered into a random drawing for the remaining 10 pints.
If you’re one of the lucky ones who qualify for this sweet New England delicacy, we will use the address provided in your donation form to ship it to you at no cost. So please double-check to make sure your information is correct when you submit it.
If you would like to offer your own creative gift giveaway or doubling challenge and watch your support for our cause inspire others to contribute, you can do so anonymously or by name. Simply send your suggested challenge to me in an email: stuart@fluoridealert.org
This offer is only open to U.S. residents. We apologize to our supporters from outside the U.S. who would like to try some small-batch pure Vermont maple syrup, but the shipping cost and international duties can be very steep. Thank you for understanding.
