This Change.org campaign is in support of the Citizen Petition to the FDA that was submitted yesterday by Attorney/FAN Executive Director Michael Connett, on behalf of both FAN and the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT). I urge you to read and share this document as it provides a wealth of information about fluoride that every parent, grandparent, and future parent ought to know. In clear terms, it describes why fluoride supplements are not only unlawful, but unnecessary, ineffective, and dangerous.

This morning Mercola.com published the second new article for Fluoride Awareness Week entitled, “Fluoride, the Only Drug Intentionally Added to Your Tap Water.” The article provides additional details about the FDA’s enforcement action against a fluoride supplement manufacturer, and reveals the shocking results of FAN’s investigation into the violation of federal and state law by the largest pharmacies in the U.S.
So far, this investigation has revealed that the largest pharmacies continue to sell unapproved fluoride drugs, which not only violates the federal prohibition on introducing unapproved drugs into interstate commerce, but violates the laws of at least 17 states which prohibit the sale of any drug not approved by the FDA.
Not only are the nation’s largest pharmacies systemically violating these laws, our investigation found that their pharmacists are providing false information to inquiring customers and concerned parents about the FDA approval status of these drugs.

Michael Connett recently wrote letters to the big four pharmacies disclosing the findings of FAN’s investigation, calling on them to immediately remove these unapproved drugs from their shelves. You can read Connett’s letters to Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, and Walmart here.
