Fundraising Update
Yesterday we raised $560 from 12 donors. This was doubled to $1,120 thanks to the last of the $10,000 doubling-pledge by one of our super angel donors. This brings our new total to $41,303 from 218 donors on our way to our goal of raising $180,000 from 1000 supporters by midnight on December 31st. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
This week we are setting our sights on raising a lot of small donations (say $10 and $20) so that we can get our number of donors (i.e. members) up to impress small foundations to whom we will need to make grant appeals next year. To achieve this, we are setting a mini-goal of getting our total up to at least $50,000 from 500 supporters by Christmas Eve. That means we need to raise about $9,700 from 282 supporters in the next 5 days. Can you help us achieve this goal?
REMEMBER, we have an exciting offer to help with our mini-goal challenge. A dedicated organizer and FAN donor has offered to purchase and send a brand new AquaTru countertop reverse osmosis water filter valued at $350 to one of you! All donors from now through midnight on Christmas Eve–of any amount–will be entered into a drawing, with the winner picked at random on the day after Christmas.

Dear Friends,
We have a very special and important bulletin today featuring a new video interview with two long-time fluoride-free organizers from New Zealand, Kane Titchener and Mary Bryne. They’re both from Fluoride Free NZ, and provide an in-depth account of the critical situation that is currently happening in their country during our 50-minute interview.
Background
About a year ago, in the midst of the pandemic, politicians, bureaucrats, and the dental industry lobby in New Zealand were exploiting the virus to push for consolidation and centralization of public health decisions. One such proposal that was quickly passed into law–with no public consultation, no select committee, no public input, and despite being given a plethora of evidence of harm by the Fluoride Action Network and our counterparts in New Zealand–was effectively a nationwide mandate requiring the addition of fluoridation chemicals to the public drinking water. The new law took authority over fluoridation away from local councils and placed it completely in the hands of the Director-General of Health.
Since passage of the new law, the now former Director-General of Health, Dr. Ashley Bloomfield, has ordered 14 councils to fluoridate. His new replacement, Dr. Diana Sarfati, just wrote to 27 additional councils warning them that they were currently being considered for the next fluoridation directive. Communities that disregard the Government mandate will be fined $200,000 initially, and $10,000 for each day their water isn’t fluoridated. While the Government has set aside $11 million dollars in grants to assist communities with the cost of implementation, this amount appears to be very far below the full financial burden that will be forced upon communities and ratepayers. To fluoridate the city of Christchurch alone is estimated to cost upwards of $60 million dollars. There will also be no financial support for the health burden that will be place on citizens, particularly developing children who will face cognitive impairment, dental fluorosis, and a host of other side-effects as a result of chronically ingesting higher levels of fluoride.
There is a lot more to this story, and it’s important that we all have a comprehensive understanding of what’s occurring to our friends in New Zealand. As more evidence shows harm from fluoridation, the global dental-lobby is turning to the people they can control the easiest, politicians and bureaucrats, to double-down on their efforts to expand the practice. Not far behind NZ is the United Kingdom, which recently passed an almost identical proposal giving the Health Secretary unilateral power to force fluoridation on residents in a large public health centralization bill (again, in response to the pandemic). These two nations are extreme outliers, and join only Ireland and Singapore in mandating fluoridation. However, there has recently been a push, both by the fluoridation-lobby and by a member of Parliament, to start a discussion on the merits of a nationwide mandate throughout Canada too.
This is a threat that we must meet head on. Click below to watch our interview and learn more about the fluoridation situation in NZ:
FAN is dedicated to helping the people of New Zealand and the United Kingdom push back against these tyrannical and incredibly harmful mandates. We’re also monitoring the situation in Canada and working with organizers there to stop any discussion of a mandate before it gains momentum. Please consider supporting our work in 2023 so we can maximize the help we can provide to millions of citizens around the world facing these mandates.
Thank you,
Stuart Cooper
