Over the past two months, there’s been an unprecedented amount of news coverage about the Fluoride Action Network, our win in federal court, support from mainstream political leaders, and the wave of communities reacting to the ruling by ending or suspending fluoridation. We’ve been so busy generating news by talking with journalists and helping local and state decision makers take action, that we’ve been slow in sharing much of this success with you. This is especially true for those of you who aren’t following us on social media, particularly our Twitter/X page where we can quickly post and share many items each day.

I’ll be using upcoming bulletins to provide a recap of some of the mainstream coverage we received, including from the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Associated Press, The Guardian, Newsmax, CBS, NBC, Bloomberg, CQ Researcher, San Francisco Chronicle, Chicago Tribune, and many more. We’ve helped awaken the world to the case against fluoridation, and the reaction from the public so far appears to be widespread support for our cause. The public gets it. They didn’t sign up to have a developmental neurotoxin added to their drinking water.

One recent interview has been seen by millions. But before I share that, here’s an update on our incredibly important annual fundraiser to fund our work in 2025.

Fundraising Update

Since Wednesday, we’ve raised $1,395 from 20 donors, bringing our current total to $9,230 from 114 donors on our way to our goal of raising $140,000 from 700 donors by midnight on December 31st.

As you can tell, the fundraiser is moving a bit slower than normal. Maybe it’s due to the economy or because some supporters think the battle is over and that we’ve won, but I can’t emphasize how important 2025 will be. The battle isn’t over and our opponents haven’t given up. We’ve fought for 25 years to get to the situation we’re presently in–on the verge of ending fluoridation–and to slow down now could mean we never achieve our goal simply because we couldn’t keep up the momentum. The ADA isn’t slowing down; they’re fighting tooth and nail to protect fluoridation, and we must match their efforts as best we can over the coming year at city halls and state legislatures across the country. Please help if you can.

FAN Attorney Returns to The Highwire

While we don’t have the official count of the video views for this interview featuring FAN’s attorney, Michael Connett, we do know that it was shared in a post on Twitter that was viewed by more than 24.5 million people. I think it’s safe to assume that at least 10% of the people who saw the tweet, clicked on the link to watch the video.

Connett returned to The Highwire for this interview to discuss the history of fluoridation, the concealment of side-effects by the promoters, and the significant harm fluoride poses to the human health. There’s a lot of new information revealed, and I would strongly urge sharing this far and wide.

Watch the 60-minute interview with Michael Connett:

Michael isn’t the only Connett who has recently been in the news. His father, Paul Connett, PhD, was recently interviewed by Doug and Patti Wood on the environmental health radio show called Green Street. This show was not only recorded as a podcast, but aired on radio stations across the country.

Paul discusses the dangers of fluoridation, the National Toxicology Programs review of fluoride neurotoxicity, and our victory in federal court.

What made this interview unique, is that Paul was a guest on this same radio show 20 years ago, when they covered fluoride on one of their very first shows. They asked if Paul could return to provide an update, and now you can listen to the 20-minute interview by clicking on the graphic below:
