PORT ANGELES — Fluoridation opponents urged about 45 people Tuesday to “take the City Council to task” and let them know they oppose fluoridation of the city’s water system.

The two-hour session at the Port Angeles Library was hosted by Clallam County Citizens for Safe Drinking Water.

It included Dr. Eloise Kailin and Sequim businessman Bob Forde as speakers. A video featuring anti-fluoride activist Dr. Hardy Limeback also was shown.

Forde said he wasn’t opposed to fluoride as a legal substance, but that he is opposed to it being put in his water supply without his permission.

He urged the crowd to let its feelings be known to the Port Angeles City Council, but he was not specific.
