Apparently neither side in the fluoride is willing to back down as evidenced in two letters between the attorneys in the City of Arab vs. Arab Water Works in the fluoride debate.
A hearing is set for Tuesday in Marshall County Circuit Court for Judge Tim Riley to hear the city’s motion for him to order fluoride be put back in the water supply while the lawsuit is ongoing.
On Feb. 25, attorney Scott Smith of Bradley, Arant, Boult, Cummings LLP in Huntsville, the firm hired by the Arab Water Works board of directors to represent it in the suit, sent a letter to Arab city attorneys Jeff McLaughlin and Rodney Edmondson that basically called the lawsuit frivolous.
McLaughlin and Edmondson dispute that.
