The League of Women Voters will sponsor a public forum at the Manila Community Center, 1611 Peninsula Drive on Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. to discuss the pros and cons of adding fluoride to the community water supply. Measure B on Manila’s Feb. 5 ballot addresses this issue.
Speaking in support of the measure will be Third District Supervisor John Woolley and Steven E. Schonfeld, DDS; the opposition will be represented by Brian J. Smith, DDS and Mike Rademaker. Audience members may submit written questions for the speakers. Opponents of water fluoridation have launched a new website, humboldtfree.com.
