Several workers at a refinery in Texas have been hurt during planned maintenance, local media has reported.

Workers at the Phillips 66 refinery in Borger in Texas were hurt while working on a unit that handles hydrofluoric acid.

The reports quoted company spokesman Dennis Nuss as saying the workers were hurt at the refinery, which is a 50-50 joint venture Cenovus Energy.

Phillips 66 shut down a fluid catalytic cracking unit in late February for maintenance at the 146,000 barrel-per-day refinery.
