Boynton Beach to stop putting fluoride in city’s drinking water
Boynton Beach will no longer put fluoride in the city’s drinking water, according to a letter from the city’s director of utilities to Sean Isaac, the fluoridation coordinator of the Public Health Dental Program.
The letter states the fluoride injection systems at the water treatment plants are in need of repair or updating and the decision was made to eliminate fluoridating the water.
The fluoride system at the west water treatment plant is offline and the one at the east water treatment plant will be shut down in about three months, the letter says.
