Brainerd: 30 years ago (1979)

Contempt of court orders are being prepared today in St. Paul against five Brainerd aldermen who did not reconsider their decision to oppose fluoridation of the city’s water at a special meeting last evening. The judge has not revealed what penalties he’ll impose.
