Branson Board of Aldermen to discuss fluoride bills

The Board of Aldermen is also scheduled to hear the following items for first reading…

• Bill No. 4751, a bill approving a funding agreement between the city and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services to reimburse the city for the cost of fluoride monitoring equipment. City staff has recommended the city approve the reimbursement agreement for the desired equipment and associated costs of $21,008, which the city will be granted upon installation. Under the agreement, the city has 180 days to complete installation.

• Bill No. 4752, a bill for the purchase of seven fluoride ion meters for the city’s water treatment plants and groundwater wells. The meters will allow for continuous real-time monitoring of fluoride levels in the city’s water supply. The cost of the meters from Analytical Technology, Inc., is $18,550…
