The Grey Bruce Health Unit is mounting a campaign to ensure Owen Sound’s water remains fluoridated.

The question of fluoride in the water will be on the ballot in Owen Sound in next months municipal election.

Health unit spokesperson Drew Ferguson says they’re encouraging people to access accurate information on the benefits of fluoride.

The health unit acknowledges the question on the ballot in Owen Sound is difficult. It will ask if people are in favour of discontinuing the use of fluoride.

A yes vote means people don’t want fluoride. So the Health Unit is encouraging people to vote no to the question.
