Excerpt from “Three file for write-ins for North Bend’s city council”

… When the ballots from North Bend come into the Dodge County Courthouse on election night those ballots will have to be looked at individually, he said. Just more than 730 registered voters in North Bend will have a chance to cast two votes each for the city council seats.

Each of the four city council seats are elected at large, Mytty said. Even though each seat is held for a four-year term, two council seats are up every two years…

The city council race isn’t the only local ballot issue facing North Bend voters.

They also decide on an ordinance to prohibit fluoride from being added to the city’s water supply. State law now requires municipal water districts to add fluoride to the water supply unless voters opt out of it.

Sample ballots will be published in Thursday’s edition of the Fremont Tribune.

The sample ballots released from the Dodge County Clerk’s Office will show all national, state and local races and issues which Dodge County voters will consider.

Mytty said not only has the deadline passed to file as a write-in candidate, but the deadline to register to vote has also passed.

However, any registered voter in Dodge County can vote early at the Dodge County Clerk’s Office, located on the first floor of the Dodge County Courthouse in downtown Fremont, until the office closes at 4:30 p.m.
