WILLEMSTAD – The advocates for a fluoride free drinking water have filed a complaint with the Minister of Public Health, Dr. Ben Whiteman today. The Committee wants the fluoridation of drinking water to be stopped immediately.

Chairman of the Committee, Mr. Rudolf de Wit indicates in his letter to the Minister that himself and the members of the Anti-Fluoride Committee have serious objections against the fluoridation of drinking water in Curacao and that these objections are based on medical grounds as well as their rights as citizens of Curacao.

The Committee believes that adding or increasing the intended amount of fluoride in the drinking water, without first or at least, conducts a research on the risk factors for the health of the people must be classified as careless and disproportionate.

The Committee has already requested a meeting with the Minister in August last year. But the Minister has not yet responded to this request.
