Davis: County fluoride regulations now in line with state law

Posted on August 20, 2013 Location: UtahCLEARFIELD – The Davis County Health Department on Tuesday adopted changes to its ordinance regarding fluoride, changes that mirror state law.
House Bill 72, adopted by the 2013 Utah Legislature, asks suppliers to provide documentation of the products used to fluoridate county water systems, “to ensure they’re coming from a proper source,” said Davis County Health director Lewis Garrett
Also, the board adopted changes to the food handler’s regulation to make the department’s ordinance consistent with state law.
The changes will standardize training and set new fees for training permit holders. In Davis County, the fee was set at $10.
