It’s the oldest trick in the book: Suppress information by silencing those who have something important to say.
In this case, that something is about water fluoridation — and those who are trying to keep us from hearing the truth are with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Attempting to keep top scientists quiet isn’t easy, however, especially when one of them has spent almost three decades working as a senior chemist at that very same agency!
But thank goodness this is America. And in America, those patriots are still free to tell us what the EPA is hoping we won’t hear about the neurotoxic chemical that’s added to tap water.
It says that it’s a way to prevent tooth decay — but once you get the full lowdown on fluoride, you’ll realize why it’s vital to protect yourself and your family from this poison as much as you possibly can.
When silence isn’t golden
Every six years, as required by law under the Safe Drinking Water Act, the EPA must conduct a review of its regulations on tap water to see if any of them should be revised.
But of all the issues that have to do with the water we drink and use to cook and bathe, the EPA has unapologetically put fluoridation at the bottom of the pile. In typical agency-speak, a statement was released saying fluoride was a “low priority that would divert significant resources.”
Case closed!
But for three of the country’s top experts on the danger of water fluoridation, that wasn’t good enough.
That’s what prompted Dr. Paul Connett, who holds a Ph.D. in chemistry, Ellen Connett, managing director of the Fluoride Action Network, and Dr. Bill Hirzy, a 27-year veteran of the EPA who was one of its senior scientists, to come a long distance to speak at the EPA’s National Drinking Water Advisory Council meeting, held two weeks ago in Washington, D.C.
And despite their years of combined knowledge, background and expertise on the topic, they were each given three measly minutes to talk. That’s was it — 180 seconds to tell everyone in attendance why what the EPA was doing was wrong.
Dr. Connett tried to wrangle out a few more minutes, saying how they were a full hour ahead of schedule, another 45 minutes had been set aside for public comments, and there were only a few other people who wanted to speak.
But as Dr. Connett put it, the chairperson of the event wouldn’t yield a millisecond!
Even though EPA officials were able to effectively silence these experts, however, it hasn’t made our water supply one iota safer or changed a single fact regarding this issue.
For example, they wanted to tell more about these important truths:
- As you’ve read right here in eAlert, over the past decade, there have been over 200 animal and human studies proving that fluoride is toxic to the brain.
- As I told you just last week, recent research — including over 50 studies — has found that fluoride can lower a child’s IQ.
- Infants, people who are deficient in calcium and iodine, and those with kidney disease are especially vulnerable to fluoride toxicity.
- Ingesting fluoride has been closely linked to bone fractures, heart, thyroid, and kidney disease, diabetes, and cancer.
Yet, the EPA, FDA, and CDC all officially continue to stand behind fluoridation, which currently affects the tap water supplied to over 200 million Americans (roughly two-thirds of the population), as if the addition of this toxic chemical were essential to our health.
That’s why it’s vital for you to take matters into your own hands, starting with these top three ways to put your own anti-fluoride campaign into action right now!
#1: If your water is fluoridated, invest in a reverse osmosis filter to remove it (standard water filters can’t).
#2: Ditch the fluoridated toothpaste and mouthwashes and opt for non-fluoride versions that are found everywhere now. (That’s especially important for kids who swallow these products much more than adults do).
#3: If you’re one of the lucky Americans whose tap water isn’t fluoridated, beware of your dentist or pediatrician trying to give you the hard sell on fluoride tablets for your kids or grandkids.
Look, even if the EPA refuses to listen, the message is still loud and clear — water fluoridation may very well be one of the most dangerous mass medical experiments in history.
But it’s one you and your family no longer have to be a part of!
