[At the city council meeting on August 25] Landrum told the council he has asked Public Works Director Larry Lacy to prepare a report on the current state of fluoridation.
Landrum said he was concerned by the city being “unable to measure (the fluoride levels) accurately.”
“My thought was, if we can’t meter this out accurately, then I’m going to stop it until we can figure out how to,” Landrum said.
“If the council still wants to do fluoridation, fine. But we just need to be able to put the city in the position where we can tell the public – with confidence – that we’re able to fluoridate the water within the guidelines.” …
