Fluoride to re-enter Hamilton water supply
Fluoride will soon be back in Hamilton’s water supply after the High Court rejected an application to keep the council from starting fluoridation again.
Safe Water Alternative NZ launched the bid after the council made a u-turn in March over its decision to remove the substance from the city’s waterways.
The council will begin re-adding fluoride next week and it will take up to two weeks for it to be distributed through the water network.
SWANZ says they will continue to challenge fluoridation at a High Court hearing in September.
