Holmen looking at second fluoride referendum

The Holmen Village Board has a big decision on the future of fluoridation, choosing either to hold another referendum or to reaffirm the first referendum as binding and continue the village’s fluoridation program.

NOTE FROM FAN: The new national standards for fluoride levels in fluoridation schemes have not been released. The proposal to lower the fluoride level to .7 ppm was announced in January 2011 and has yet to be finalized.
