Muskoka District Council has approved the final word on fluoride.

Last night’s vote was a formality to approve what six municipalities in the district had already decided.  As a result, fluoride will be staying in the water supply in Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Georgian Bay Township and the Township of Muskoka Lakes.

It will be removed in Huntsville and Lake of Bays.

The Ministry of the Environment will be advised, and the fluoride should be removed in those two communities by the beginning of February.
