Ladysmith voters narrowly reject city water fluoridation

An advisory referendum was held in Ladysmith, asking voters if the city should discontinue adding fluoride to its public water system.

The question asked, “Should the city of Ladysmith discontinue adding fluoride to its public water system?”

The vote was 481 “yes” and 467 “no” for a narrow 50.7 percent majority against city water fluoridation.
