The Township of Lake of Bays said no to fluoride in municipal drinking water yesterday.  Council voted in accordance with the wishes of residents who had responded to letters sent out by the town.  Mayor Bob Young , a proponent of fluoridation said that he would “hold his nose” while he supported the wishes of the residents.

Of 177 letters sent out, only 53 were returned and a slight majority indicated that they did not want fluoride added to their water supply.
