Union Health and Family Welfare Minister, Jagat Prakash Nadda, has promised to set up a 300-bed hospital in Marriguda manda headquarters in the district to provide treatment for fluorosis victims.

Addressing the victims during a meeting organised by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State wing at Marriguda on Tuesday, the Union Minister promised the hospital after patiently hearing the woes of about 50 fluorosis victims, who arrived here to meet Mr. Nadda. The Union Minister, who had visited Marriguda to participate in the State BJP’s ‘porubata’ in 2012, said that nothing has changed in the lives of fluorosis victims, as the previous governments that ruled the State and the Centre had failed to address the issue. Mr. Nadda also promised to take the fluorosis victims to New Delhi to arrange a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
