WATERLOO — State Health Commissioner Richard Daines Wednesday visited one of the state’s smallest counties and one of its largest landfills.
Daines is visiting 15 mostly rural, upstate county Health Departments during Public Health Week.
… Before leaving for Dundee, Daines also voiced support for the county’s efforts to fluoridate municipal drinking water supplies.
“There is decisive evidence that fluoride is safe and saves cavities and expenses. I think this county and others will get solid support from the dental and medical community for fluoridation,” he said. …
