Newport: Fluoride debate shakes city hall

NEWPORT — A large, boisterous crowd packed Newport City Hall on Tuesday night with one thing in mind — to express their opinions on the possibility of fluoridating the city’s water supply.

With a three-minute time limit for each person, residents took their turn speaking to the city council during a public hearing on the issue that lasted more than an hour.
