The Ozark Mountain Water authority is resisting a state law requiring water systems to add fluoride to the water it distributes to its customers. Ed Manor, of Jasper, and a member of the authority’s board of directors, told the Newton County Quorum Court last Tuesday night, Sept. 2, that the authority’s board thinks fluoridating water should be voluntary.
