Parents Drop Lawsuit Over Risks of Mouthrinse Made With Fluoride

Parents who purchased mouthrinses made with fluoride for their preschoolers are dismissing their lawsuit against the products’ producers saying the manufacturers will no longer make the rinses.

The defendant, the Perrigo Co., “has made a business decision not to continue commercialization of the products at issue beyond any phase out activities,” the plaintiffs said in their dismissal notice filed on Thursday.

The company didn’t immediately reply to a request for information about that decision.

The requested dismissal with prejudice would resolve the parents’ complaint that Perrigo and its subsidiary Ranir LLC targeted their candy-flavored Firefly line of mouthrinses sold in …
