The state Supreme Court will not review its September ruling that sided with the city of Port Angeles in a dispute over water fluoridation, two anti-fluoride groups announced Tuesday.
Our Water-Our Choice! and Protect Our Waters said in a prepared statement that the high court announced Monday that it will not reconsider the 5-4 decision.
The Sept. 23 ruling said the city’s four-year-old practice of adding fluoride to its drinking water could not be challenged through citizens’ initiatives.
Soon afterward, the groups sought to have the ruling reconsidered.
The statement from the groups said they are “not defeated” but did not state how they plan to continue to challenge fluoridation.
