Northwest Health Foundation is proud to announce its partnership with Kaiser Permanente and Daniel Deutsch, the largest in-state donor for the anti-water-fluoridation campaign, to support City Club of Portland in creating a special task force that will bring together both sides of the fluoride debate in the name of children’s dental health.

We recognize that while community members may disagree about the benefits of providing fluoridated water to everyone, we all agree that we can do better to improve the dental health of kids. That’s why the Foundation joined the task force which will study the most workable solutions for improving dental health outcomes for children in Multnomah County.

City Club member Carol M. Ford will be facilitating the task force, which will be comprised of three representatives each from the pro- and anti-water-fluoridation sides along with three neutral representatives and/or dental health policy experts. We need your help in spreading the word about the opportunity to serve on the task force. Community members who are interested in serving on the task force should apply online by October 16.
