ONGOLE: Measures should be taken to provide potable water in the fluoride affected areas in the district, said MP YV Subba Reddy and chairman of district-level vigilance and monitoring committee for health.

Speaking at a review meeting with officials here on Monday, he said that 48 mandals have been identified as fluorosis  areas and as many as 382 villages are highly affected with it in the district. The committee will urge the Centre government to set up a dialysis centre in the region.
