Public Hearing on Fluoridation in Oneida tonight

Tuesday night’s meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Common Council Chambers located at 109 North Main St. in Oneida.

Excerpts: In October 2014, common council filed a recommendation from the city Water Board, a letter from the Madison County Board of Health and an informational packet regarding a request from local dentists and physicians asking that fluoride be added to city water.

In 2002, the common council voted against fluoridating the water supply in a 5 to 1 vote.
