REDLAND City Council has spared a 150-year-old tree, has kept fluoride in the city’s water and will spend $20,000 to halt beach erosion on Coochiemudlo Island.

… All 11 councillors agreed that fluoride would remain in the city’s water due to costs of withdrawing from the program.

They also decided to complain to the state about burdening councils with the cost of halting fluoridation, which for Redland would be more than $32 million.
