COUNCILLORS remain divided today over the fluoridation of Rockhampton Region’s water supply.

Nine Queensland councils feel the evidence is strong enough to remove the chemical from public water supplies, but Rockhampton councillors are yet to reach agreement.

Earlier today, councillors voted 6-3 in favour of writing to Queensland Health and the Australian Dental Association to provide all relevant scientific and toxicology studies which prove fluoride is safe.
