WATERLOO — Despite appeals to reconsider the benefits, or at least table a decision for more information, the Seneca County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to begin the process of removing fluoride from county Water District No. 1 in Romulus.

The motion before the board, which was recommended by the county Public Works Committee, directs that County Manager Mitchell Rowe issue a request for proposals for the preparation of a discontinuation plan that would be submitted to the state Department of Health.
