Mark Gietzen, of Wichita, will speak about why he changed his views about the fluoridation of water at a meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Prescott Room of the Salina Public Library.
The meeting is sponsored by Salina Cares, a group working to try to get the city of Salina to stop putting fluoride in the city’s public water supply.
Gietzen worked to keep fluoride out of Wichita’s public water supply. He also has introduced a bill in the Kansas Legislature that requires communities with fluoridated water to provide residents with information warning: “The latest science confirms that fluoride lowers the IQ in children.”
