WILLEMSTAD – The Member of Parliament for MFK and former Minister of Public Health, Mrs. Jacinta Scoop-Constancia requests clarification from the Minister of Public Health, Ben Whiteman on the current fluoride dosage in drinking water. In a letter to the president of Parliament, Mrs. Scoop Constancia asks the Minister to indicate whether it’s true that the dosage was increased to 1.5 mg per liter.

In her letter, the former Minister asks what the reason was for the increase in the dosage since Aqualectra kept it at 0.5 mg per liter when she was Minister. The objective was to ultimately decrease the fluoride in water down to 0 mg. Scoop-Constancia also indicates that the World Health Organization (WHO) has warned for the dangers of daily use of a fluoride dosage of between 2 and 8 mg.
