Seeking environmental justice, housing, economics, and social and human sciences perspectives on the use of the fumigant sulfuryl fluoride (SO2F2) for treating structures.
CCST has been contracted by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) to produce a peer-reviewed synthesis report on the use of fumigants in California and an assessment of available alternatives. One section of the report will deal specifically with the use of sulfuryl fluoride (SO2F2) for structural pest control, including the tradeoffs associated with its use. As part our established study process, CCST seeks input from individuals who have been directly involved in, or who have special knowledge of, the problem under consideration.
CCST seeks nominations for experts and stakeholders willing to share their perspectives with members of the study team on the use of sulfuryl fluoride (SO2F2) for structural pest control.
In particular, CCST seeks to connect with individuals with expertise or experiences relevant to the following topics as they pertain to structural fumigation:
- Affordable housing
- Environmental justice
- Real estate, buildings, and property management
- Economics
Please note that this is not an opportunity for public comment on the study. Rather, this expertise is sought so that the study team will better understand the breadth of perspectives that exist on this topic and consider them as part of this comprehensive assessment.
