COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – A recently-introduced bill in the Ohio House as it is currently written would stop municipal water systems from adding fluoride to the water supply.

A Toledo-area co-sponsor says there is discussion about pulling back on that, allowing municipalities to make their own decision.

Former director of the EPA’s Drinking Water Standards Division Joe Cotruvo says fluoride levels are regulated, and there should be no concerns.

Sponsors say they’re worried about the levels of fluoride in the water, especially for pregnant women.
