VALLEY SPRINGS — The Ozark Mountain Regional Public Water Authority board met Thursday night at Valley Springs City Hall and voted to appeal a recent court decision that it must fluoridate water.

But that move was designed to buy some time so water customers might be able to protest the law requiring fluoridation while the state Legislature is currently in session to let lawmakers know they feel fluoride is a health hazard.

See the weekend edition for details of the board’s decision.
