All water system users in Kincardine, including Huronville and the pipeline to Inverhuron, are being asked to conserve water for the next week or so.

Kincardine Mayor Larry Kraemer says the water treatment plant is undergoing maintenance until April 2nd.

Kraemer says during this time, potable water will be provided to the system from Huron Kinloss Township and residents are being asked to conserve as much water as they can so the demands of the system can be met.

He says the source of the temporary water is from a well system and users may notice a difference in pressure, colour and taste.

Kraemer says the levels of minerals such as sodium and flouride [sic] will be at a higher but safe concentration.

If residents have any questions, they are invited to call the water department at 519-396-4660.
