Water Notice

Since August 13, 2026, the Town of Williamson Water Department has been unable to add fluoride to our water supply. As a result of the situation in the middle east, supply chain challenges have caused a nationwide shortage of fluoride (Fluorosilicic Acid). There is currently no timeline for when the process of adding fluoride can be resumed.  While there is naturally occurring fluoride in water, it is only at a concentration of 20% of what the NYS Department of Health recommends. Please consult with your health care or dental professional if you have any questions or concerns. We will resume our fluoridation process once supply chain challenges permit it.
