Yarmouth selectman Bud groskopf won re-election to a second term Tuesday night in the annual town election, defeating two challengers.

Groskopf got 2,590 votes to Tracy Post’s 2,193 and Curt Sears’ 1,324.

Yarmouth voters elected a former selectman as moderator. Dan Horgan received 2,016 votes to 1,747 for David Reid and 1,675 for Paul Holmquist.

Two ballot questions were likely responsible for drawing 40 percent of yarmouth voters to the polls Tuesday. Question 2, a Proposition 2 1/2 override to fund Yarmouth’s share of the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School District failed by a vote of 3,023 voting yes to 3458 who voted no.

Question 6, calling for the fluoridation of Yarmouth’s water, failed by a wide margin. 1,599 voted yes, while 4,891 voted no.

Question 5, calling for yarmouth to take steps to withdraw from the Cape Cod Commission, failed with 2,903 voting yes to 3,387 voting no.
