Abstract
A double blind test for the detection of untoward effects from fluoridated water is described. Preliminary results with 60 patients out of a group of 300 indicate that certain individuals are intolerant to fluoride and reproducibly develop gastrointestinal symptoms, stomatitis, joint pains, polydipsia, headaches, and visual disturbances.

Fluoride intoxication from drinking water (a report of 52 cases)
In previous publications, cases of incipient fluorine 1) poisoning from drinking artificially fluoridated water at the 1 ppm concentration were reported. A specific disease pattern could be discerned closely tallying with what has b??n observed in industrial poisoning from fluorine intake at higher levels. There are three groups of symptoms: 1. Those

Allergic reactions from fluorides
In a discussion of drug allergy it is necessary to distinguish between intolerance and allergy to drugs. One represents intoxication, the other is characterized by wheal formation, eosinophilia and other features of an allergic reaction. Gastric irritation, for instance, or acne from iodides or bromides represent intolerance to these drugs

Prenatal and postnatal ingestion of fluoride salts: a progress report.
*This study was made possible, in part by research grant D 70 from the United States Public Health Service, U, S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare, and in part by a grant from the New Jersey Dental Research Association, Inc. Enziflur@ tablets were supplied for this study by Ayerst Laboratories, 22 East

Prenatal and postnatal ingestion of fluorides: fourteen years of investigation -- final report*.
SUMMARY Data is presented showing that fluoride ingested by gravid women enters the maternal circulation, is stored in the placenta and passes through the placental barrier to enter the foetal blood supply. Evidence is presented that the fluoride in the foetal blood supply affects the developing teeth to make them more resistant

Fluorosis by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, National Health, India.
Introduction Fluorosis is a crippling disease resulted from deposition of fluorides in the hard and soft tissues of body. It is a public health problem caused by excess intake of fluoride through drinking water/food products/industrial pollutants over a long period. Ingestion of excess fluoride, most commonly in drinking-water affects the teeth

Fluoride: Developmental Neurotoxicity.
Developmental Neurotoxicity There has been a tremendous amount of research done on the association of exposure to fluoride with developmental neurotoxicity. There are over 60 studies reporting reduced IQ in children and several on the impaired learning/memory in animals. And there are studies which link fluoride to Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Teaching

Is the Ingestion of Fluoride an Immunosuppressive Practice?
This paper records several observations which suggest that habitual ingestion of small doses of fluoride, even as small as the 1 mg/L contained in fluoridated water, may decrease the function of the immune system.

Fluoride-Induced Damage to Gastric Mucosa in Human Clinical Trials
When fluoride has been used (at doses of 18-34 mg/day) as an experimental treatment for osteoporosis, gastric pain is one of the two main side effects consistently encountered. To better understand how fluoride causes this effect, researchers have sought to determine how fluoride affects the tissue that lines the gastrointestinal tract. In a

Fluoride & Gastrointestinal System: The Importance of Fluoride Concentration in Stomach
The following is an excerpt from the National Research Council's (2006) review of fluoride toxicity: "It is important to realize that GI effects depend more on the net concentration of the aqueous solution of fluoride in the stomach than on the total fluoride dose in the fluid or solid ingested. The
