Notice of Filing of Pesticide Petition; Clarification

AGENCY: Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

ACTION: Notice.

SUMMARY: This notice is to clarify information published in a Notice of
Filing in the Federal Register of February 25, 1998. Uniroyal Chemical
Company has issued a petition request concerning use of diflubenzuron
on rice.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: This notice is to clarify information
published in the Federal Register of February 25, 1998 (63 FR 9528)
(FRL-5775-3). Uniroyal Chemical Company, Inc. has submitted two
tolerance petitions to the Agency concerning use of diflubenzuron on
rice. PP 8F4925 requests that 40 CFR 180.377 be amended to include a
tolerance for the combined residues of diflubenzuron on rice grain at
0.02 parts per million (ppm) and rice straw at 0.8 ppm. PP 6G4771
requests a temporary tolerance for diflubenzuron on rice grain at 0.01
ppm in association with an Experimental Use Permit, EUP No. 400-EUP-69.
The notice of filing published on February 25, 1998 will serve as a
notice for both of these petitions.
